Metal–Support Interaction Between Titanium Oxynitride and Pd Nanoparticles as a Tool for Tuning the Selectivity of Electrocatalytic Hydrogenation of Furfural

open access: yesChemElectroChem, EarlyView.
Electrocatalytic hydrogenation (ECH) of furfural under acidic conditions is examined using Pd/C and Pd‐TiONx/GO catalysts. Differences in redox behavior and adsorption properties are observed. Pd/C exhibits higher selectivity toward furfuryl alcohol, while Pd‐TiONx/GO favors 2‐methylfuran formation. Metal–support interactions and surface properties are

Chemical composition of the humus layer, mineral soil and soil solution of 150 forest stands in the Netherlands in 1990 [PDF]

open access: yes
A nationwide assessment of the chemical composition of the humus layer, mineral topsoil (0-30 cm) and soil solution in both topsoil and subsoil (60-100 cm) was made for 150 forest stands in the year 1990.

Surficial Functionalization of Monolithic Carbon Electrode via Femtosecond Laser Treatment

open access: yesChemElectroChem, EarlyView.
A scalable, binder‐free carbon disc electrode of desired size and shape has been developed. Laser treatment preserves its conductivity and crystallinity while functionalizing the surface with active groups. These functional groups enable the deposition of metal species and impart superhydrophilic and oleophilic properties, making the electrode suitable
