HEO‐regulated electronic structure drives nonradical PI activation, promoting ETP‐mediated polymerization of 4CP into high‐molecular‐weight products with enhanced surface enrichment. Concurrent dechlorination occurs via radical coupling and •OHads attack, enabling efficient carbon retention and selective product evolution at the liquid–solid interface.

Further experiments on the effect of removing the soluble humus from a soil on its productiveness
The removal of soluble humus by alkaline extraction from both a garden and a field soil reduced the productiveness over a series of crops in pot experiments. The field soil showed an initial but temporary increase in productiveness.

A biohybrid nanorobot integrating lytic bacteriophage N4 with Pd nanozymes is developed for targeted eradication of multidrug‐resistant E. coli biofilms. Synergistic bacterial lysis and ROS‐mediated oxidation enable simultaneous biofilm removal and antibiotic resistance genes degradation, maintaining high efficacy in complex wastewater environments ...

A simple, rapid, and portable gold‐coated filter tip‐based assay (GFTA) is developed for bacterial detection. The GFTA leverages cleavable functional nucleic acid probes as molecular recognition elements to target RNase H2, a highly conserved bacterial endoribonuclease, enabling sensitive and specific colorimetric detection of bacterial pathogens ...

The 3rd‐generation magnetic super‐stable mineralizer M‐MgAl‐700 features a core‐shell structure, strong superparamagnetism, large surface area, and abundant oxygen defects. It achieves exceptional Cd(II) and As(V) mineralization capacities, reducing both pollutants in co‐contaminated water and soil to meet national standards.

An atomically dispersed Co–N4 single‐atom catalyst rapidly activates peroxymonosulfate to remove the antibiotic sulfamethoxazole from water. Common ions have little impact, but chloride dramatically speeds degradation by promoting a high‐valent Co(IV) = O oxidant via in situ HOCl–catalyst electron transfer.

The variability of humus forms in relation to forest cover and soil ecology in different altitudes [PDF]
Humus systems are the largest part of organic carbon stock and play an important role in forest ecological processes. Elevation by influencing on the biological and non-biological properties of the forest ecosystem is an important factor for assessing ...

An investigation into the recent vegetation history of Great Wood, near Eggleston Co. Durham using fine resolution pollen analysis of Mor humus and relevant historical evidence. [PDF]
This study investigated the recent vegetation history of an ancient woodland, Great Wood, near Eggleston Co. Durham which has been part of the lands of Eggleston Hall since at least 1614.
