Parametric analysis of the hybrid HVDC circuit breaker

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power and Energy Systems, 2017
The hybrid circuit breaker design offers a fast low-loss operation that can be of paramount importance for the development of future meshed HVDC systems. This paper summarizes the main results obtained from a parametric analysis based on a simplified representation of both the circuit breaker and the test system.
