Improvement of HVSR technique by cluster analysis

2013
The Horizontal to Vertical Spectral Ratio (HVSR) technique, applied to ambient noise, is widely used to quickly estimate the fundamental frequency of a site. The HVSR technique is based on numerous assumptions about the propagation medium and the nature of the seismic noise, often hard to verified.

Mappatura dell'anticlinale di Mirandola, Italia, mediante misure HVSR.

2015

From HVSR to site response function: potentiality and pitfalls

2022
The capability of the ambient vibration Horizontal to Vertical Spectral Ratios (HVSR) in capturing the main aspects of the seismic resonance phenomena was explored by numerical simulations. By considering a large set of Vs profiles, HVSR curves were simulated using two different models of the ambient vibration wavefield: the Diffuse Field Approach (DFA)

Site Classification of Kocaeli Region Based on HVSR Method

2019
Seismic map of the world displays that Turkey is one of the earthquakes affected region due to active tectonic plates. In current research, one of the highest seismic alert zones of Turkey i.e. Kocaeli territory has been selected. The aim of this study is to classify the different sites of Kocaeli region depending on its predominant frequency ranges ...
