Effects of Vitamin C Supplementation on Total Antioxidant Status, Inflammation, and Histopathological Changes in Aged Rats

open access: yesJournal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, Volume 39, Issue 6, June 2025.
In this study, 500 mg/kg vitamin C was administered orally to aged rats of both genders. The effect of supplementation on serum vitamin C levels was not detected, but the effect of gender was. Gender and vitamin C supplementation had no effect on serum IL‐6 and IL‐1β levels; however, gender did affect TNF‐α and TAS levels.

A Case of Anti‐TNFα Therapies Induced Lupus Panniculitis Successfully Improved With a JAK Inhibitor (Baricitinib)

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, Volume 4, Issue 2, Page 540-543, June 2025.
Capsule SummaryLupus erythematosus panniculitis (LEP) is a rare variant of cutaneous lupus erythematosus. There are two case reports to date in the literature of LEP potentially triggered by anti‐TNFa therapies. Clinically, it is characterized by tender, erythematous subcutaneous indurated nodules or plaques on fatty body areas.

The collagen‐augmented chondrogenesis technique demonstrates superior cartilage repair compared to microfracture for cartilage defects of the knee joint, regardless of age

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, Volume 33, Issue 6, Page 2052-2062, June 2025.
Abstract Purpose This study investigated whether age affects clinical outcomes and cartilage repair quality in patients who underwent collagen‐augmented chondrogenesis. Methods The study included patients who underwent either the collagen‐augmented chondrogenesis technique or microfracture for cartilage defects of the knee joint of International ...

Exploration of Neurodegenerative Diseases Using Long‐Read Sequencing and Optical Genome Mapping Technologies

open access: yesMovement Disorders, Volume 40, Issue 6, Page 996-1008, June 2025.
Abstract Genetic factors play a central role in neurodegenerative disorders. Over the past few decades, significant progress has been made in identifying the causative genes of numerous monogenic disorders, largely due to the widespread adoption of next‐generation sequencing (NGS) technologies in both research and clinical settings.
