Statistical ensembles in Hamiltonian formulation of hybrid quantum-classical systems
General statistical ensembles in the Hamiltonian formulation of hybrid quantum-classical systems are analyzed. It is argued that arbitrary probability densities on the hybrid phase space must be considered as the class of possible physically ...

TMC4 localizes to multiple taste cell types in the mouse taste papillae
Transmembrane channel‐like 4 (TMC4), a voltage‐dependent chloride channel, plays a critical role in amiloride‐insensitive salty taste transduction. TMC4 is broadly expressed in all mature taste cell types, suggesting a possible involvement of multiple cell types in this pathway.

More varieties of hybrid inflation
It is pointed out that hybrid inflation can be implemented with the inflaton field rolling away from the origin instead of towards it. This `inverted' hybrid inflation has a spectral index $ n < 1 $, in contrast with ordinary hybrid inflation which has $

We found that during chemotherapy‐induced alopecia (CIA), Sonic hedgehog (Shh) expression significantly decreased in hair follicle Shh+ cells, whereas the Janus‐activated kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (JAK/STAT1) signaling pathway was markedly activated.

Are Our Racial Concepts Necessarily Essentialist Due to Our Cognitive Nature? [PDF]
Mallon and Kelly claim that hybrid constructionism predicts, at least, that (1) racial representations are stable over time and (2) that racial representations should vary more in mixed-race cultures than in cultures where ...

Esophagectomy is a complex surgical procedure associated with high rates of mortality and morbidity, mainly dominated by pulmonary complications. Minimally invasive approaches have been developed in order to decrease postoperative morbidity, including totally minimally invasive esophagectomy (MIE) and hybrid esophagectomy in which one surgical step is ...

dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

Determining $1^{--}$ Heavy Hybrid Masses via QCD Sum Rules
The masses of $1^{--}$ charmonium and bottomonium hybrids are evaluated in terms of QCD sum rules. We find that the ground state hybrid in charm sector lies in $m_{H_c}=4.12\sim 4.79$ GeV, while in bottom sector the hybrid may situated in $m_{H_b} = 10 ...

Enzymatic degradation of biopolymers in amorphous and molten states: mechanisms and applications
This review explains how polymer morphology and thermal state shape enzymatic degradation pathways, comparing amorphous and molten biopolymer structures. By integrating structure–reactivity principles with insights from thermodynamics and enzyme engineering, it highlights mechanisms that enable efficient polymer breakdown.
