Modified Monopole–CDR Hybrid Antenna
Journal of Electronic Materials, 2021This paper presents bandwidth enhancement of a monopole antenna by hybridization with cylindrical dielectric resonator (CDR) elements. Dual resonance of the monopole is obtained when the electric current distribution is controlled by adding metallic branches and metallic sphere components.

Broadband hybrid dipole antenna
2016 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation (APSURSI), 2016A compact hybrid dipole antenna is presented with enhanced bandwidth. The antenna consists of a half-wavelength driven dipole and a one-wavelength parasitic folded dipole. By properly engineering the resonant frequencies of the driven dipole and the parasitic folded dipole, wide bandwidth with S 11 ≤ −10 is achieved from 1.82 GHz to 2.27 GHz (450 MHz,

A novel printed hybrid lens antenna made of a 2-layer phase shifting surface (PSS) has been developed. It is a hybrid lens because the required operation is achieved by a combination of true phase correction (similar to a conventional lens, and previously reported PSS phase-correcting lenses) and amplitude-only correction (similar to a Fresnel zone ...

A new fractal geometry of the cross antenna, which belongs to the traveling-wave antenna class and follows the contour of a cross, is presented. In the conventional type of traveling-wave antenna, the total length of the radiating conductor increases as the order of fractal expansion increases, but this increase of the length of the current path ...

Broadband hybrid water antennas
2015 IEEE 4th Asia-Pacific Conference on Antennas and Propagation (APCAP), 2015A broadband hybrid water antenna at very high frequency band is presented. The proposed antenna is composed of a seawater monopole and a distilled-water ring antenna. The broadband of this hybrid antenna is caused by the multiple resonances introduced by the hybrid monopole-ring structure. This antenna achieves a wide bandwidth from 52.5MHz to 162.5MHz,

We present a single reflection hybrid reflector antenna which is based on a Cassegrain antenna in which an array of emitters is introduced conformal to the position of the surface of the small mirror. A method for calculating the radiation field performance of the single-reflection hybrid-reflector antenna is offered. The irradiator is an array antenna

Hybrid DCF Supporting Hybrid Antennas in a WLAN
The Proceedings of the Multiconference on "Computational Engineering in Systems Applications", 2006Hybrid distributed coordination function (H-DCF), a modified medium access control protocol of IEEE 802.11, is proposed in this paper to support hybrid antennas, i.e., smart adaptive array antennas and normal omni-directional antennas in one WLAN. Nodes equipped with smart antennas follow directional DCF (D-DCF) and nodes equipped with omni-directional
