Hybrid shaped ultra‐wideband antenna
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2007AbstractA novel planar ultra‐wideband antenna with hybrid shapes of the patch and the ground is presented. Simulation and measurement have been performed. A much wider impedance bandwidth has been achieved by the hybrid design for potential application in future UWB.

AbstractA small size end‐fire mode hybrid monopole/DR antenna is introduced and tested. The hybrid antenna combines an annular DRA and a quarter‐wave monopole antenna to perform ultrawideband response. The proposed technique is used to reduce the length of monopole antenna and improve the whole impedance bandwidth.

ABSTRACT Hybrid mode horns are of considerable practical importance, especially as feeds for lens and reflector antennas. In this tutorial review the boundary conditions necessary to support hybrid modes in round waveguide are derived. Expressions for the field components in HE1n and EH1n modes are given and from these the transverse field over the ...

Hybrid algorithms on antenna design
2007 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2007The purpose of this paper is to present hybrid algorithms made by mixing gradient and evolutive algorithms, as a solution to solve electromagnetic problems. Specifically, array synthesis has been chosen to show the functionality of these methods. In this work the discussion was focused on the comparison of the traditional evolutionary algorithm (based ...

A Hybrid Diversity Antenna System
2006 7th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation & EM Theory, 2006To increase link gains and enhance performance in wireless systems, antenna diversity has long been used. Such diversity provides a means not only to overcome the effects of signal multipath and fading in realistic RF channels or propagation environments but also to increase channel capacity.

Generalised hybrid matrix antennas
Tenth International Conference on Antennas and Propagation (ICAP), 1997A technique is introduced for the reduction of the complexity and cost of transmitting multiple beam antenna systems. The technique is applicable to both phased array antennas and array fed reflectors. Conventional methods of generating multiple transmit beams from a single antenna are constrained by the choice of beamforming architecture.

Hybrid magneto-hydrodynamic antenna
International Journal of Ultra Wideband Communications and Systems, 2012A hybrid magneto-hydrodynamic antenna consisting of one copper annular ring loaded with dielectric resonator has been biased with DC voltage and magnetic fields. RF input and DC bias voltage has been applied in x direction and magnetic field B has been given in y direction.

Metamaterial hybrid mode horn antennas
2009 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2009It was shown by moment method analysis that soft and hard metamaterial horns offer broadband performance if a metamaterial with the required dispersion can be implemented. It was also shown that the required dispersion curve is monotonically increasing similar to the Drude dispersion, strongly indicating that these horns can be realized.

We present a single reflection hybrid reflector antenna which is based on a Cassegrain antenna in which an array of emitters is introduced conformal to the position of the surface of the small mirror. A method for calculating the radiation field performance of the single-reflection hybrid-reflector antenna is offered. The irradiator is an array antenna
