Novel low-delay video transmission scheme based on SR-SW-HARQ

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2009
To implement low delay video transmission, a novel scheme based on hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) technique was proposed. For three different priority-data based on H.264data partition mode, a combined protocol of selective repeat automatic ...

Networked Control with Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request Protocols

open access: yes2024 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT)
We study feedback control of a dynamical process over a lossy channel equipped with a hybrid automatic repeat request protocol that connects a sensor to an actuator. The dynamical process is modeled by a Gauss-Markov process, and the lossy channel by a packet-erasure channel with ideal feedback.

Splitting Sequences for Coding and Hybrid Incremental ARQ with Fragment Retransmission

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
This paper proposes a code defined on a finite ring ℤpM, where pM = 2m−1 is a Mersenne prime, and m is a binary size of ring elements. The code is based on a splitting sequence (splitting set) S, defined for the given multiplier set E=±20, ±21,…, ±2m−1 ...

Hybrid Automatic Repeat Requests for MB-OFDM Ultra-Wideband

open access: yes2007 Third International Conference on Wireless and Mobile Communications (ICWMC'07), 2007
This paper analyzes the design and performance of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) extensions to the multi- band orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MB-OFDM) ultra-wideband (UWB) standard. It is shown how both Type-I and Type-III HARQ can significantly reduce the packet error rate (PER) in realistic frequency-selective channels.

Variable Stiffness Flexure Structures Enabled by Phase‐Change Gallium and Adhesive Interfacial Locking for Soft Robotic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A flexure‐based variable stiffness structure is developed by integrating phase‐change modulation and adhesive interfacial locking of gallium. The design enables a wide stiffness variability, transitioning from soft, flexible behavior to rigid, load‐supporting performance.

Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

Hybrid ARQ Scheme with Autonomous Retransmission for Multicasting in Wireless Sensor Networks

open access: yesSensors, 2017
A new hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) scheme for multicast service for wireless sensor networks is proposed in this study. In the proposed algorithm, the HARQ operation is combined with an autonomous retransmission method that ensure a data packet

Symbolic Regression and Multi‐Objective Optimization of the Flory–Huggins Interaction Parameter for Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.

Research on Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) technology in V2X

open access: yes, 2023
Abstract With the rapid economic development of our country, the number of private cars has increased sharply, which has brought great pressure to the domestic transportation system. At the same time, with the development of communication technology, the amount of data transmitted in 5G communication system has also increased significantly, and users ...

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.
