Spectrum Sensing in the Presence of Multiple Primary Users [PDF]
We consider multi-antenna cooperative spectrum sensing in cognitive radio networks, when there may be multiple primary users. A detector based on the spherical test is analyzed in such a scenario. Based on the moments of the distributions involved, simple and accurate analytical formulae for the key performance metrics of the detector are derived.

Cooperative spectrum sharing of multiple primary users and multiple secondary users
This paper proposes a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) based cooperative dynamic spectrum access (DSA) framework that enables multiple primary users (PUs) and multiple secondary users (SUs) to cooperate in spectrum sharing.

Performance Analysis of Spectrum Sensing With Multiple Primary Users [PDF]
The effect of multiple primary users on spectrum-sensing performance is investigated. Different models for primary user traffic are considered. The effects of different system parameters on sensing accuracy are examined. Numerical results show that the spectrum-sensing performance is significantly degraded by the primary user traffic and that the ...

Impact of secondary user communication on security communication of primary user [PDF]
AbstractCognitive radio network concept has been considered as a promising solution to improve the spectrum utilization. However, it may be vulnerable to security problems as the primary user (PU) and secondary user (SU) access the same resource.

Balancing outage performance of primary user and secondary user by relay-assisted primary transmission [PDF]
In this paper, a cooperative transmission protocol for cognitive radio systems is proposed. In this protocol, the primary system comprises a transmitter (PT), a receiver (PR), and a decode-and-forward relay (Relay), while the secondary system comprises a transmitter (ST) and a receiver (SR).
