Hybrid excitations in layered iron halides

Physical Review B, 1985
Layered iron halides (${\mathrm{FeCl}}_{2}$, ${\mathrm{FeBr}}_{2}$) are known to exhibit several unusual features, especially in comparison with those of the first\char22{} and more commonly investigated\char22{}member of the halide series, ${\mathrm{FeF}}_{2}$.

Integrated brushless excitation for Hybrid Excitation Synchronous Generator

2015 IEEE Magnetics Conference (INTERMAG), 2015
Brushless excitation generator is highly reliable and easily maintained.[1] In this paper, an integrated brushless excitated method (IBEM) is proposed in this paper. It can realize brushless excitation for the generator whose excitation windings are placed on the rotor.

Hybrid-Excited Switched-Flux Hybrid Magnet Memory Machines

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2016
The memory machine concept is recently extended to switched-flux (SF) machines, forming a series of SF hybrid magnet memory machines (SF-HMMMs). They exhibit the merits of good demagnetization withstand capability and effective flux adjustability.

Base excited hybrid energy harvesting

2013 IEEE International Conference on Control Applications (CCA), 2013
This paper proposes a novel energy harvesting system model based on combined electromechanical and electromagnetic transduction technique. A cantilever substrate (beam) with piezoelectric (PZT) patch and a mass at the tip is considered for electromechanical transductions.

Mixed-pole hybrid-excitation machine

2014 International Conference on Electrical Machines (ICEM), 2014
This paper presents the concept of a novel hybrid-excitation machine. This machine is of the parallel excitation type and has rotor poles in which both PMs and wound-excitation co-exist to produce the total no load magnetomotive force; for this reason it is named mixed-pole hybrid-excitation machine.

A new Rotor Excitation Topology for Hybrid Excitation Machine

2016 IEEE International Conference on Power Electronics, Drives and Energy Systems (PEDES), 2016
The Parallel Hybrid Excitation Machine (PHEM) has advantage of good flux regulation as compared to the Series Hybrid Excitation Machine (SHEM). While the series hybrid excitation machine has a simple rotor structure, the parallel hybrid excitation machines proposed so far in the literature have either complex structures or large in size to overcome the

Analysis of a hybrid excitation DC motor

2008 18th International Conference on Electrical Machines, 2008
In some niche applications, e.g. emergency pumps operating in case of fire, a high reliability and a constant speed operation capability are basically required. This paper deals with the use of hybrid excitation in DC motors to permit a highly reliable operation under adjustable field supply and unregulated armature supply, e.g.

Magnetoplasmon excitation and hybridization in gyroelectric cylinders

Applied Optics, 2019
We investigate magnetoplasmon resonances and their coupling effects in gyroelectric cylinders. In individual cylinders, the dipole plasmon can be excited by plane wave illumination, and the dipole plasmon splits into lower energy and higher energy rotational magnetoplasmons in the presence of an external magnetic field.

Excitation Winding Short-Circuits in Hybrid Excitation Permanent Magnet Motor

IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, 2014
This paper presents two short-circuit fault models of a hybrid excitation flux switching permanent magnet machine, i.e., excitation phase short-circuit and interturn short-circuit in excita- tion windings. Two-dimensional finite element (FE) method is used to calculate the major parameters, such as armature and excita- tion inductances, which are not ...

Novel Consequent-Pole Hybrid Excited Machine with Separated Excitation Stator

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2016
A partitioned stator hybrid excited machine is proposed, in which the permanent magnets and field windings are alternately placed on an inner stator separated from the outer stator having armature windings. This machine inherits the features of brushless machines and benefits from better space utilization.
