From Material Tensions to Organizational Paradoxes: How Manufacturers Cope With the Limits of Circular Product Design

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Circular product design (CPD) is central to advancing the circular economy by enabling the narrowing, slowing, and closing of resource flows. Yet, its implementation remains persistently challenging for firms. Prior research has largely framed these challenges as discrete barriers, overlooking the structural contradictions embedded in CPD ...

Locked in Transition: Examining the Role of Paradoxical Tensions in the Transition From Industrial Cluster to Eco‐Clusters

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Industrial clusters are central to the circular economy transition, yet how they develop into eco‐clusters and the paradoxical tensions this transformation fuels remain underexplored. Drawing on 48 in‐depth interviews and secondary data from a Turkish textile‐recycling cluster, we develop an empirically grounded model of eco‐cluster transition

Hybrid Fiber-Reinforced Concrete with Polypropylene and Steel Fibers in 3D Reinforcement Frameworks

open access: yesBuildings
This study investigates an alternative methodology for incorporating polymeric and steel fibers into concrete. Conventional reinforcement approaches often require complex application techniques and face industrial limitations. In contrast, the present work evaluates the use of short, discontinuous fibers—commercial polypropylene fibers (PFRC ...

From Managing Innovation to Governing Value: Reconceptualizing the Role of Intellectual Property in the Sustainable Business Model

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The role of intellectual property (IP) in promoting or hindering sustainable innovation now forms a topical issue in innovation management. Its role in the sustainable business model remains imperfectly understood however, creating a simplified view of IP in relation to corporate sustainable development. Hence, this study sought to examine how

Engineering Biochar‐Derived Functional Materials for High‐Performance Supercapacitors: Design Principles, Mechanisms, and Scalable Strategies

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Biochar has emerged as a useful and adaptable source of carbon for supercapacitor electrodes. Its value comes from the way biomass chemistry, thermal conversion, and activation conditions shape the resulting pore network, surface groups, and degree of carbon ordering.

Revised Rebound Hammer and Pull-Out Test Strength Curves for Fiber-Reinforced Concrete

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2020
Rebound hammer tests and postinstalled pull-out tests are commonly used for evaluating the compressive strength of ordinary concrete, and the strength of concrete is estimated by strength curves.

Workability of Hybrid Fiber Reinforced Self-Compacting Concrete

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2018
The aim of this work is to evaluate the effect of adding different types of fibers on the fresh properties of the self-compacting concrete, SCC. The used types of fibers were steel (with volume ratios of 0.75, 1.0 and 1.25 %) and polypropylene fibers (0.10 and 0.15 %) and a hybrid system of these fibers (0.65 % steel and 0.10 % polypropylene).
