Hybrid Flow Shop Scheduling with Batching Requirements

This paper deals with a real-world scheduling problem in the steel industry in which the resources form a hybrid flow shop consisting of 16 production stages. Furthermore, sequence-dependent setup states have to be considered at two production stages leading to a batching problem. The objective is to minimize the weighted tardiness.
