Modal Analysis of Nanoplasmonic Multilayer Spherical Resonators
The resonance wavelengths, quality factors, and electromagnetic field profiles of multilayered metal plasmonic nanospheres are presented. Quantitative results are obtained using a recently developed finite-difference time-domain algorithm suited for ...

Hybridization and Dehybridization of Plasmonic Modes [PDF]
The plasmon resonances (modes) of a metal nanostructure can be defined as a dipole, a quadrupole, or high-order modes depending on the surface charge distribution induced by the incident field. In a non-symmetrical environment or clusters, the modes can hybridize and exhibit different behavior and properties.

Hybrid Estimation of CMB Polarization Power Spectra [PDF]
This paper generalises the hybrid power spectrum estimator developed in Efstathiou (2004a) to the estimation of polarization power spectra of the cosmic microwave background radiation.

Anisotropic hybrid excitation modes in monolayer and double-layer phosphorene on polar substrates
We investigate the anisotropic hybrid plasmon-SO phonon dispersion relations in monolayer and double-layer phosphorene systems located on the polar substrates, such as SiO2, h-BN and Al2O3.

Hybrid phase-space simulation method for interacting Bose fields [PDF]
We introduce an approximate phase-space technique to simulate the quantum dynamics of interacting bosons. With the future goal of treating Bose-Einstein condensate systems, the method is designed for systems with a natural separation into highly occupied

Plasmonic modes of polygonal particles calculated using a quantum hydrodynamics method
Plasmonic resonances of nanoparticles have drawn lots of attentions due to their interesting and useful properties such as strong field enhancements. These systems are typically studied using either classical electrodynamics or fully quantum theory. Each

Instability strips of SPB and beta Cephei stars: the effect of the updated OP opacities and of the metal mixture [PDF]
The discovery of $\beta$ Cephei stars in low metallicity environments, as well as the difficulty in theoretically explaining the excitation of the pulsation modes observed in some $\beta$ Cephei and hybrid SPB-$\beta$ Cephei pulsators, suggest that the ``

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.
