A Systemic Approach Integrating Driving Cycles for the Design of Hybrid Locomotives [PDF]
Driving cycles are essential in hybrid locomotive design by conditioning their size and performance. This paper introduces a new systemic approach to hybrid locomotive design, taking real-world driving cycles into account.

Electrified Damage in Motion Systems
The electrified damage in motion systems is a fundamental framework presenting the degradation pathway arising from the coupling of electrical energy transport with mechanical contact and interfacial chemistry. The framework positions electrified damage as a distinct degradation regime with unique characteristic surface morphologies and failures of ...

Hybrid Metal–Carbon Ink for Printed Stretchable Temperature Sensors
We prepare conductive inks for temperature sensing with silver flakes and carbon or graphite flakes in a silicone elastomer matrix. Silver dominates the temperature‐dependent conductivity, while the carbon filler network ensures the stability of the conductive pathways and retains function under strain.

Hybrid RRT: A Semi-Dual-Tree RRT-Based Motion Planner
Rapidly-exploring Random Trees (RRTs) have been widely used for motion planning problems due to their ability to efficiently find solutions. Informed RRT* is an optimized version of RRT, which not only implements the rewiring process to optimize the tree

A hybrid 3-D reconstruction/registration algorithm for correction of head motion in emission tomography [PDF]
Even with head restraint, small head movements can occur during data acquisition in emission tomography that are sufficiently large to result in detectable artifacts in the final reconstruction.

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

A NEW HYBRID DIFFERENTIAL FILTER FOR MOTION DETECTION [PDF]
A new operator to compute time differentiation in an image sequence is pre- sented. It is founded on hybrid filters combining morphological and linear recur- sive operations. It estimates recursively the amplitude of time-variation within a certain interval.
