Imitating human motion using humanoid upper body models [PDF]
Includes abstract.Includes bibliographical references. This thesis investigates human motion imitation of five different humanoid upper bodies (comprised of the torso and upper limbs) using human dance motion as a case study. The humanoid models are based

Polymer Interface Enables Reversible Quasi‐Solid Sulfur Conversion in Sodium‐Sulfur Batteries
The polymer interface enables a stable quasi‐solid sulfur conversion pathway in room‐temperature Na─S batteries. The coating regulates Na+ transport, stabilizes the cathode–electrolyte interphase, and accommodates mechanical stress, suppressing electrolyte decomposition and sulfur migration, thereby improving reaction uniformity, reducing polarization,

Wafer‐scale two‐dimensioanl In2Se3 oxidized into InOx on sodium‐embedded beta‐alumina enables multifunctional reconfigurable electronics. Sodium ions accumulate within distinct spatial distribution under drain‐controlle and gate‐controlled operation. Drain‐control operation gives controllability of ultraviolet‐driven optoelectronic synaptic conductance

Development of a Physiologic In-Vitro Testing Methodology for Assessment of Cervical Spine Kinematics [PDF]
In-vitro biomechanical testing has been critical in the design and evaluation of spinal surgical instrumentation, however determination of realistic physiologic loading levels has proven difficult outside of the in-vivo setting.

ABSTRACT Traditional wearable exoskeletons rely on rigid structures, which limit comfort, flexibility, and everyday usability. This work introduces the fundamental technologies to create the first soft, lightweight, intelligent textile‐based exoskeletons (Texoskeletons) built using 1D sensors and actuators.

There are six types of motion referred to as the six degrees of freedom, which define the motion of a ship. For a ship to remain stable, it must be in a symmetrical position. Therefore, a ship's stability can be determined based on its motion.

Diffusive and ballistic motion in superconducting hybrid structures
We examine transport properties of superconducting hybrid mesoscopic structures, in both the diffusive and ballistic regimes. For diffusive structures, analytic results from quasi-classical theory are compared with predictions from numerical, multiple-scattering calculations performed on small structures.

A distributed approach for safe kinodynamic motion planning in multi-robot systems, based on a Social Force Model [PDF]
This work deals with the design of a real-time system able to solve the problem of planning collision-free motions for multiple robot vehicles that operate in the same, partially-observable environment.
