Dynamic power management with hybrid power sources

Proceedings of the 44th annual conference on Design automation - DAC '07, 2007
DPM (Dynamic Power Management) is an effective technique for reducing the energy consumption of embedded systems that is based on migrating to a low power state when possible. While conventional DPM minimizes the energy consumption of the embedded system, it does not utilize the properties of the power source.

A hybrid power model for RTL power estimation

Proceedings of 1998 Asia and South Pacific Design Automation Conference, 2002
We propose a hybrid power model for estimating the power dissipation of a design at the RT-level. This new model combines the advantages of both RT-level and gate-level approaches. We investigate the relationship between steady-state transition power and overall power dissipation.

Regeneration of power in hybrid vehicles

Vehicular Technology Conference. IEEE 55th Vehicular Technology Conference. VTC Spring 2002 (Cat. No.02CH37367), 2003
Regeneration is one of the important sources of improving fuel efficiency. When designing the drive train of a hybrid vehicle, special attention must be given to this effect. We analyse the effect of regeneration of the braking energy on the design of the electrical motors and of the battery system.
