Hybridization of Energy Storage Systems for electric transportation by means of bidirectional Power Electronic Converters [PDF]

open access: yes2015 6th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Applications (PESA), 2015
This paper deals with the design of a Hybrid Energy Storage System (HESSs) for electric transportation such as Electric/Hybrid Vessel and Electric/Hybrid Train. The association of more than one Energy Storage Systems (ESSs) e.g., batteries which have different dynamics permit to take the advantages of the characteristics of both ESSs obtaining ...

One-Kind Hybrid Power Means of the Two-Term Exponential Sums and Quartic Gauss Sums

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2021
The main purpose of this article is using the analytic methods and the properties of the classical Gauss sums to study the calculating problem of the hybrid power mean of the two-term exponential sums and quartic Gauss sums and then prove two interesting linear recurrence formulas. As applications, some asymptotic formulas are obtained.

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...
