A hybrid SVR with the firefly algorithm enhanced by a logarithmic spiral for electric load forecasting

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research, 2022
Accurate forecasting of an electric load is vital in the effective management of a power system, especially in flourishing regions. A new hybrid model called logarithmic spiral firefly algorithm-support vector regression (LS-FA-SVR) is proposed to ...

A systematic benchmark of the ab initio Bethe-Salpeter equation approach for low-lying optical excitations of small organic molecules

open access: yes, 2015
The predictive power of the ab initio Bethe-Salpeter equation (BSE) approach, rigorously based on many-body Green's function theory but incorporating information from density functional theory, has already been demonstrated for the optical gaps and ...

Research of the surge voltage protection by means of Hybrid Real-Time Power System Simulator [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
The article considers the simulation of surge voltage protection. A functional diagram of this protection model and the means by which the researches were made are presented. The results are the oscillograms of the surge voltage protection operation for the generator.

The hybrid power mean of some special character sums of polynomials and two-term exponential sums modulo $ p $

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics, 2021
<p>We consider the calculation problem of one kind hybrid power mean involving the character sums of polynomials and two-term exponential sums modulo $ p $, an odd prime, and use the analytic method and the properties of classical Gauss sums to give some identities and asymptotic formulas for them.</p>

Comparing the Effect of Semi‐Immersive Virtual Reality, Computerized Cognitive Training, and Traditional Rehabilitation on Cognitive Function in Multiple Sclerosis: A Randomized Clinical Trial

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Cognitive impairment is a common non‐motor symptom in Multiple Sclerosis (MS), negatively affecting autonomy and Quality of Life (QoL). Innovative rehabilitation strategies, such as semi‐immersive virtual reality (VR) and computerized cognitive training (CCT), may offer advantages over traditional cognitive rehabilitation (TCR ...

Forecasting Electricity Load With Hybrid Scalable Model Based on Stacked Non Linear Residual Approach

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research, 2021
Power has totally different attributes than other material commodities as electrical energy stockpiling is a costly phenomenon. Since it should be generated when demanded, it is necessary to forecast its demand accurately and efficiently.

Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Alumina: Effects of Scanning Strategies on External and Internal Defects

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates how scanning strategies affect pure alumina in laser powder bed fusion. Linear 45° scanning yields uniform surfaces but high porosity, while the island‐concentric strategy provides higher density with through‐holes favorable for infiltration. Findings highlight pathways toward optimizing defect‐free alumina parts.
