Natural Biomaterials for Osteochondral Repair: From Source to Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Biological origin‐guided overview of natural biomaterials and therapeutic strategies for osteochondral tissue engineering. The circular diagram categorizes representative materials and strategies into plant/algae‐derived, microbial‐derived, animal‐derived, and human‐derived sources, centered on an osteochondral defect repair model.

Identification of a Novel Rice Chromosomal Translocation Line that Could Cause the Heterozygote Semi-Sterility and be Overcome by Genomic Duplication

open access: yesRice
Interspecific and intersubspecific hybrid rice have demonstrated substantial heterosis and increased yield potential, yet they are frequently restricted by complex hybrid sterility (HS).

Establishment and Advances of Third-Generation Hybrid Rice Technology: A Review

open access: yesRice, 2023
Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is one of the most important food crops worldwide. The utilisation of heterosis (hybrid vigour) has played a significant role in increasing rice yield and ensuring food supply.

Rapid Fabrication of Self‐Propelled and Steerable Magnetic Microcatheters for Precision Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A rapid Joule heating fabrication method for the production of self‐propelling, adaptive microcatheters, with tunable stiffness and integrated microfluidic channels is presented. Demonstrated through three microrobotic designs, including a steerable guiding catheter, an untethered wave‐crawling TubeBot, and a distal‐end propelled microcatheter, it was ...

Data from: Dissecting the genetic architecture of F1 hybrid sterility in house mice

open access: yes, 2012
Hybrid sterility as a postzygotic reproductive isolation mechanism has been studied for over 80 years, yet the first identifications of hybrid sterility genes in Drosophila and mouse are quite recent.

Bacteria‐Responsive Nanostructured Drug Delivery Systems for Targeted Antimicrobial Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bacteria‐responsive nanocarriers are designed to release antimicrobials only in the presence of infection‐specific cues. This selective activation ensures drug release precisely at the site of infection, avoiding premature or indiscriminate release, and enhancing efficacy.

Molecular Mapping of D1, D2 and ms5 Revealed Linkage between the Cotyledon Color Locus D2 and the Male-Sterile Locus ms5 in Soybean

open access: yesPlants, 2013
In soybean, genic male sterility can be utilized as a tool to develop hybrid seed. Several male-sterile, female-fertile mutants have been identified in soybean. The male-sterile, female-fertile ms5 mutant was selected after fast neutron irradiation. Male-

Genetic studies on hybrid sterility in barley.

open access: yesThe Japanese Journal of Genetics, 1994
Partially sterile F1 barley plants were found when some Ethiopian varieties were crossed with Tayeh 1 (Chinese landrace), even though the parents were completely fertile. This hybrid sterility is shown to be controlled by two duplicate genes (sfg1 and sfg2).

Stable Protein‐Based G‐Quadruplex‐Derived Supramolecular Bioinks as Tunable ECM‐Mimetic Constructs Assembled by Combining Non‐Covalent and Covalent Strategies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Harnessing the synergistic interplay of supramolecular self‐assembly, under macromolecular crowding conditions, and enzymatic‐mediated covalent crosslinking toward a stable protein‐based G‐quadruplex‐derived supramolecular bioink. This bioinspired strategy enables the biofabrication of complex and tunable ECM‐mimetic constructs, providing a platform ...
