Impedance Characteristics of Hydraulic Orifices
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers Part I: Journal of Systems and Control Engineering, 1995The impedance characteristics of cylindrical and sharp-edged hydraulic orifices under non-zero mean flow conditions have been investigated through experimental measurement and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation studies. Based upon these investigations a generic model of the impedance characteristics of orifices has been developed. This model

HYDRAULIC CHARACTERISTICS OF RILLS
Transactions of the ASAE, 1990Rill density and rill flow rates were determined during rainfall simulation tests conducted at 11 sites located throughout the eastern United States. A mean rill density of 1.0 rills/m was found for the study locations. From measurements of the relative distribution of flow rates, a procedure is identified for partitioning flow between individual rills.

Hydraulic Characteristics of Vertical Vortex at Hydraulic Intakes
Journal of Hydrodynamics, 2007The trace of vertical vortex flow at hydraulic intakes is of the shape of spiral lines, which was observed in the presented experiments with the tracer technique. It represents the fluid particles flow spirally from the water surface to the underwater and rotate around the vortex-axis multi-cycle. This process is similar to the movement of screw.

Hydraulic characteristics of municipal refuse
International Journal of Rock Mechanics and Mining Sciences & Geomechanics Abstracts, 1990A review is made of the hydraulic conductivity and other hydraulic parameters of municipal waste. The hydraulic conductivity can be assessed indirectly from measured field parameters and water balance. A test well penetrating about 100 ft of refuse was installed and pumped for about one day at 20 gpm and 2½\N days at 12 gpm.

Hydraulic characteristics of biological filters
Journal of Chemical Technology & Biotechnology, 1991AbstractRelationships between the removal efficiency and the hydraulic regimes of trickling filters were investigated. At low flow rates, where break‐up of liquid jets occurs and drops form, completely mixed conditions prevail. For large hydraulic loadings effluent concentrations were calculated by means of a dispersed plug flow model.
