Relationship Between Velocity and Permeability Using Hydraulic Flow Units

Proceedings, 2009
Estimation of Relationships between velocity of P-wave and permeability by using usual method is difficult. In this study that is first research in Iranian oilfield we show that by grouping and sorting rocks into hydraulic units, we can establish relationships between velocity and permeability.

The Mapping of Hydraulic Flow Zone Units and Characterisation of Australian Geological Depositional Environments

SPE Asia Pacific Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition, 2004
Abstract The Carman-Kozeny formulation has been used as a basis to provide a new perspective of flow zone units (FZUs), by mapping similar rocks in terms of "Characteristic Envelopes", for different geological depositional environments. A large amount of data, covering several fields and different Australian basins, has been analysed.

Permeability Prediction Using Hydraulic Flow Units and Hybrid Soft Computing Systems

SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition, 2001
AbstractIn the last years, the concept of hydraulic flow units (HFU) has been used in the petroleum industry to improve prediction of permeability in uncored interval/wells. This concept is strongly related to the flow zone indicator (FZI) which is a function of the reservoir quality index (RQI).

RATIONALIZATION OF THE UNIT FOR DIAGNOSING THE FLOW RATE OF HYDRAULIC EQUIPMENT FOR MOBILE MACHINES

STATE AND DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS OF AGRIBUSINESS. In the frame of the XXIII Agribusiness Forum of the South of Russia and the Exhibition «Interagromash» Volume 2, 2020
The article presents a strength analysis of the flowmeter design used in the diagnostics nodes of mobile machine hydraulic units. The connection of the flow meter housing with the bracket has been simplified and adapted for a more robust sensor design, taking into account the strength and tightness of the threaded connection.

Experiment on morphological and hydraulic adjustments of step‐pool unit to flow increase

Earth Surface Processes and Landforms, 2019
AbstractExceptional flood events with a return period of about 50 years can be destructive to step‐pool channel segments. However, field investigations and flume experiments have not examined the hydraulic and morphological feedbacks of step‐pool morphology during unsteady hydrographs of exceptional flood events.

Modified Kozeny–Carmen correlation for enhanced hydraulic flow unit characterization

Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering, 2011
Abstract Although several techniques have been proposed to predict permeability using porosity–permeability relationships, the Kozeny–Carmen (K–C) correlation is the most widely acceptable methodology in the oil industry. Amaefule et al. (1993) modified that correlation introducing the concept of Reservoir Quality Index (RQI) and Flow Zone Indicator (

United simulation of hydraulic system and control system of dumping casting machine by low flow hydraulic driving

2012 Power Engineering and Automation Conference, 2012
Considering the demand of various working status of slow dumping and fast return, a hydraulic system which can switch working conditions between large and low flow was designed. In the working condition of low flow, in order to achieve accurate casting, the two hydraulic cylinders were required moving synchronously and tracking a special displacement ...

Identification and Distribution of Hydraulic Flow Units in a Heterogeneous Carbonate Reservoir: North Robertson Unit, West Texas

Proceedings of Permian Basin Oil and Gas Recovery Conference, 1996
Abstract A model is developed of a heterogeneous carbonate reservoir based fundamentally on measurement of pore geometrical parameters. Pore level reservoir modeling results in improved accuracy in the prediction of rock types, permeability and identification of flow units.

Hydraulic Flow Units Resolve Reservoir Description Challenges in a Siberian Oil Field

SPE Asia Pacific Conference on Integrated Modelling for Asset Management, 2004
Abstract The paper describes results of a petrophysical study aimed to improve reservoir description of a complex oil reservoir located in Western-Siberia, Russia. The K-field was put on production in 1998. The reservoir rocks were deposited in a sand-rich deltaic environment, that implies reasonably good lateral sand bodies continuity ...

Simulation of Position Control and Flow Rate Match of Integrated Hydraulic Actuator Unit

Advanced Materials Research, 2010
This paper presents a kind of all-digital integrated hydraulic actuator (IHA) unit to drive heavy load object without centralized oil tank. In order to improve the control quality of the actuation system while eliminating or reducing the disturbance, and also to solve the problem of flow rate mismatch existed in IHA with single-rod cylinder actuator, a
