Analysis of Fracturing Pressure Data in Heterogeneous Shale Formations [PDF]
Existing techniques for the interpretation of real-time fracturing data assumes that fracture propagation is a continuous power function of time, and that fractures propagate smoothly over time.

Hydraulic Fracturing Length Optimization and its Impact on the Reservoir Performance [PDF]
Hydraulic fracturing is one of the most common methods of well stimulation for reservoirs with low permeability. Hydraulic fracturing increases the flow capacity, alters flow geometry, bypasses damage and improves recovery factor. The pressure of most of

Current Collector Engineering for New Efficient Bioresorbable Sodium‐Ion Batteries
A bioresorbable Na‐ion battery is proposed with Mo or Mg thin‐film current collectors for temporary implants. Mo‐based batteries exhibit superior electrochemical performance and stable cycling compared with Mg counterparts. XPS was used to investigate the Mo/Mg surface oxidation.

Hydraulic Fracturing Mine Back Trials — Design Rationale and Project Status [PDF]
Last year, a joint Mining and Oil & Gas industry consortium was established in Canada to conduct hydraulic fracturing (HF) tests accompanied by a mine-back of fractured regions to assess HF models and microseismic monitoring data during controlled ...

To accelerate the inverse design of heterostructured metal matrix composites, a closed‐loop scientific machine learning framework integrates continual learning prediction with NSGA‐II‐PMCP optimization. The framework maps microstructural descriptors to strength, toughness, and modulus, expands high‐quality Pareto solutions, and guides experimentally ...

Intrinsic phase toughening transforms a brittle B2 intermetallic into a plastically deformable, load‐bearing phase, while a heterogeneous laminated architecture suppresses strain localization and interface cracking. The synergy between ductile intermetallics and mesoscale heterogeneity establishes a general design strategy for breaking the long ...

Explicit-implicit XFEM for Hydraulic Fracturing with emphasis on transport models on curved crack surfaces [PDF]
The eXtended Finite Element Method (XFEM) has developed to a standard tool in fracture mechanics. The method enriches the approximation space such that inner-element cracks are considered without loss of accuracy.

Observation of a Repeated Step-wise Fracture Growth During Hydraulic Fracturing Experiment at the Grimsel Test Site [PDF]
, 2021Hydraulic fracturing (HF) experiments were conducted at the Grimsel Test Site (GTS), Switzerland, with the aim to improve our understanding of the seismo-hydro-mechanical processes associated with high-pressure fluid injection in a moderately ...

Fibro‐adipogenic progenitors (FAPs) in atrophic muscle undergo YAP1‐driven pathogenic activation, secreting IL‐6 and FGF21 as bone‐catabolic myokines that mediate muscle‐bone crosstalk and promote bone loss. Genetic or pharmacological targeting of this YAP1‐FAP‐myokine axis rescues skeletal deterioration, identifying FAP‐derived myokines as therapeutic
