Study of the relation between hydraulic jump and the flood water level in the river on the downstream of a spillway [PDF]
Kuningan Dam which is located in Kuningan District, West Java has 21,8 km2 watershed area. This dam also acts as a flood control facility which functions supported by the reservoir’s topography and its spillway building.

Relevant Problem of a Hydraulic Jump at Diyala Weir and the Proposed Remedy [PDF]
This study aims to analyze the Diyala weir problems and compares it with the safe limit and proposes the treatment for these problems. One of the most influencing problems in the site of weir was the formation of the hydraulic jump, it was found that the

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Relationships between a roller and a dynamic pressure distribution in circular hydraulic jumps
We investigated numerically the relation between a roller and the pressure distribution to clarify the dynamics of the roller in circular hydraulic jumps.

Modelling rollers for shallow water flows [PDF]
Hydraulic jumps, roll waves or bores in open channel flows are often treated as singularities by hydraulicians while slowly varying shallow water flows are described by continuous solutions of the Saint-Venant equations. Richard & Gavrilyuk (J.

This study investigates laser shock peening for enhancing fatigue performance of riveted aerospace aluminum joints. A comparative approach with cold expansion combines fatigue testing and synchrotron X‐ray methods. Integrating mechanical testing with residual stress and strain characterization provides insights into how different treatments affect the ...

Air–water low patterns of hydraulic jumps on uniform beds macroroughness [PDF]
Hydraulic jumps are characterized by strong flow turbulence, flow aeration, and three-dimensional flow motions. Whereas comprehensive research into hydraulic jumps on smooth bed has improved the understanding of flow aeration and turbulence, limited ...

In this experimental study, the mechanical properties of additively manufactured Ti‐6Al‐4V lattice structures of different geometries are characterized using compression, four point bending and fatigue testing. While TPMS designs show superior fatigue resistance, SplitP and Honeycomb lattice structures combine high stiffness and strength. The resulting

EFFECT FOR A SINGLE ROUGHNESS E=5,63mm OF EXPERIMENTAL TO STUDY HYDRAULIC JUMP PROFILE IN A CHANNEL IN U A ROUGH BOTTOM [PDF]
This study aims to study the hydraulic jump controlled by threshold, moving in a channel profile 'U' bottomed rough for a single roughness E=5,63mm. Functional relations in dimensionless terms, linking the different characteristics of the projection ...

Flow dynamics and mixing processes in hydraulic jump arrays: Implications for channel-lobe transition zones [PDF]
A detailed field investigation of a saline gravity current in the southwest Black Sea has enabled the first complete analysis of three-dimensional flow structure and dynamics of a series of linked hydraulic jumps in stratified, density-driven, flows ...
