Identification of the land use changes on river flooding bed, affective on reservoir water quality (Case study: headwater of Kardeh reservoir) [PDF]
The effects of magnetic water were examined in terms of leaf area, special leaf area, and some of the physiographic indicators such as relative water capacity and foliar chlorophyll content (SPAD) in three species endemic to arid environments namely ...

Beam model for hydraulic fracturing [PDF]
We investigate numerically the shape of cracks obtained in hydraulic fracturing at constant pressure using a square-lattice beam model with disorder. We consider the case in which only beams under tension can break, and discuss the conditions under which the resulting cracks may develop fractal patterns.

Human Health Impact Analysis of Contaminant in IoT-Enabled Water Distributed Networks
This paper aims to assess and analyze the health impact of consuming contaminated drinking water in a water distributed system (WDS). The analysis was based on qualitative simulation performed in two different models named hydraulic and water quality in ...

Impact of Water Demand Pattern on Calibration Process
Mathematical models are the basic tool that simulates the operation of the Water Distribution System (WDS). Building such a tool is a complex task that requires as much detail as possible.

Morphology Evolution of Three-Dimensional Scours Under Submerged Jets
Through physical model tests, the three-dimensional morphological features and their scale changes with time were measured and comparatively analyzed during the scouring of a homogeneous granular bed surface using submerged oblique jets.

Spring mounds on Earth and on Mars could represent optimal niches of life development. If life ever occurred on Mars, ancient spring deposits would be excellent localities to search for morphological or chemical remnants of an ancient biosphere.

Guidelines for modeling hydraulic components and model based diagnostics of hydraulic applications [PDF]
Model based diagnosis is a very hot topic right now in the world of system engineering, through RODON the user is provided with the necessary tools to accomplish this. With this software one can model a hydraulic system and autogenerate fmea (failure-mode-effect-analysis).
