Discrete Displacement Hydraulic Power Take-Off System for the Wavestar Wave Energy Converter
The Wavestar Wave Energy Converter (WEC) is a multiple absorber concept, consisting of 20 hemisphere shaped floats attached to a single platform. The heart of the Wavestar WEC is the Power Take-Off (PTO) system, converting the wave induced motion of the ...

Assembled PTO based on an array of double-acting hydraulic cylinders for WECs: From Conceptual Design to an Adjusted Detailed Model [PDF]
All Wave Energy Converters (WECs) based on wave activated bodies comprises a Power Take- Off (PTO) system among other subsystems like the reaction mechanism, the supervisor of the system and the electrical generator. One of the most applied PTO systems consists of oil high pressure hydraulic devices.

The spray mixture residual amount in the tank affects its temperature increase rate. Only temperatures >35 C° were detrimental for BCAs. BCA viability is affected mostly by thermal rather than mechanical stress. Abstract Background In order to improve the biological control agent (BCA) efficacy, stress factors threatening the viability of ...

Abstract Modern agricultural tractors are complex systems, in which multiple physical (and technological) domains interact to reach a wide set of competing goals, including work operational performance and energy efficiency. This complexity translates to the dynamic, multi‐domain simulation models implemented to serve as digital twins, for rapid ...

Enhancing Thermo‐Osmotic Low‐Grade Heat Recovery by Applying a Negative Pressure to the Feed
Thermo‐osmotic energy conversion is supposed to convert low‐grade heat into power. The efficiency can be improved by applying negative pressure to the feed liquid. The theoretical calculation, computational fluid dynamics simulation, and experiments are carried out to verify the method.
