Eco‐Evo‐Hydraulics: Integrating Fish Evolution Into Ecohydraulics for Conservation
Riverine fish conservation in eco‐hydraulics is often based on restoring or regulating river habitat to a semi‐natural state. For example, ecohydraulic projects support fish populations by increasing river connectivity through fishways, and by ...

This plot compares experimental tensile stress–strain curves (with 4 different strain rates) and corresponding modelled curves (obtained using the optimised sets of Voce and Miller–Norton parameter values shown). The inferred M‐N values, characterizing the creep, are very similar to those obtained via conventional creep testing.

An investigation of sand movements in the Ribble estuary using radioactive tracers (EX 280) [PDF]
The work described in this report forms part of a field programme undertaken by the Hydraulics Research Station on behalf of the Corporation of Preston, to serve as a basis for recommendations directed at improving the navigable channel to the port of ...

Sludge disposal to sea - Liverpool Bay bed ripple survey 1984 [PDF]
For economical and practical reasons a significant amount of the UK's sewage sludge is disposed to British coastal waters. The consequences of this form of disposal on the marine environment and coastline are of great importance and have been the subject

A Standardized Treatment Model for Head Loss of Farmland Filters Based on Interaction Factors
A head loss model for pressureless mesh filters used in farmland irrigation was developed by integrating the four basic test factors: irrigation flow, filter cartridge speed, self-cleaning flow, and initial sand content.

This work shows that the mechanical performance of multimaterial digital light processing (DLP) printed thermoset composites is governed by resin compatibility and interfacial design rather than spatial patterning alone. Brittle and ductile resin combinations produced premature interfacial failure, while graded interfaces and mechanically compatible ...
