Zinc Hydrazides and Hydrazide‐Alkoxides with Cyclic and Acyclic Hydrazide Substituents

Zeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, 2008
AbstractThe tetrameric organometallic zinc hydrazides the {(RZn)4[NHN(CH2)n]4} (R = Me, Et, iPr and n = 5, 4) (1–6), were prepared by alkane elimination from dialkyl zinc solutions and the ring‐substituted hydrazine derivatives 1‐aminopiperidine and 1‐aminopyrrolidine at ambient temperature. They were characterized by NMR (1H, 13C) and IR spectroscopy,

Hydrazides of sarcolysine

Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR Division of Chemical Science, 1968
1. A series of N-acylsarcolysine hydrazides has been obtained by condensing N-acyl derivatives of sarcolysine with hydrazine hydrate in the presence of 1, 3-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide. 2. 1-(Sarcolysyl)-2-p-[di-(s-chloroethyl)amino]phenacetylhydrazine was obtained by the reduction of 1-(N-carbobenzoxysarcolysyl)-2-p-[p-(2-chloroethyl)amino]

Maleic Hydrazide and Isonicotinyl Hydrazide as Carbonyl Reagents

Physiologia Plantarum, 1966
Abstract The effects of maleic hydrazide (MH) and isonicotinyl hydrazide (INH) on the reactions catalyzed by pea cotyledon amine oxidase, carrot root l‐glutamic decarboxylase, and wheat seedling transaminase have been studied. The activity of amine oxidase is inhibited if it is incubated with MH or INH before the addition of substrate, and it is also ...

Kinetics and mechanism of the formation of hydrazides from hydrazidic halides

Journal of the Chemical Society B: Physical Organic, 1971
In aqueous dioxan or acetone, N-aryl-hydrazidic bromides (α-bromoarylidenehydrazines) are converted into the corresponding benzhydrazides. The kinetics of the conversion have been studied in dioxan–water (4 : 1) at 25° and a Hammett ρ value of –0·63 was obtained for variation of the N-aryl substituent.
