Solar and wind power generation systems with pumped hydro storage: Review and future perspectives

, 2020
It has been globally acknowledged that energy storage will be a key element in the future for renewable energy (RE) systems. Recent studies about using energy storages for achieving high RE penetration have gained increased attention. This paper presents

Pectate lyases: Their role in plants and importance in fruit ripening.

Food Chemistry, 2020
Plant cell walls are complex structures that are modified throughout development. They are a major contributor to the properties of plant structure and act as barriers against pathogens.

Modelling and optimisation of a hybrid PV-wind turbine-pumped hydro storage energy system for mini-grid application in coastline communities

, 2020
This study proposes a clean, reliable and affordable hybrid energy conversion technology that is based on sunlight and wind, with a hydro based energy storage system.

Purification and Properties of Crystalline 2-Phospho-d-Glycerate Hydro-Lyase from Human Muscle

European Journal of Biochemistry, 1968
1 The purification and crystallization of 2-phospho-d-glycerate hydro-lyase from human skeletal muscle is described. 2 Preparations of the crystalline enzyme were found to be homogenous as examined in free boundary and gel electrophoresis. Chromatography on Sephadex G 75 and TEAE-cellulose revealed only one component.

Optimal daily generation scheduling of large hydro–photovoltaic hybrid power plants

Energy Conversion and Management, 2018
Joint operation of large-scale renewable energy sources (e.g., hydro and solar) has become a trend in modern power systems, and more operators of existing hydropower reservoir systems are adopting it.

Study on the combined operation of a hydro-thermal-wind hybrid power system based on hydro-wind power compensating principles

Energy Conversion and Management, 2019
The high randomness, intermittency and uncontrollability of wind power make large-scale wind power generation present large challenges for integration into a power grid.

Source tracking and temperature prediction of discharged water in a deep reservoir based on a 3-D hydro-thermal-tracer model

Journal of Hydro-environment Research, 2018
Thermal stratification frequently occurs in deep reservoirs, and discharged water temperature (DWT) is detrimental to the downstream regions. Source tracking of discharged water reveals the flow regularity of stratified reservoir, and provides scientific
