Effects of Halogenated Hydrocarbons on Rumen Microorganisms
Halogenated hydrocarbons such as polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB's), heptachlor (HEP), 1, 1, 1,-trichloro-2, 2-bis(p-chlorophenyl)-ethane (DDT), and pentachlorophenol (PCP) are environmental contaminants and, at times, can bioaccumulate in the food chain.

Química entre a microcamada superficial oceânica e os aerossóis marinhos
The sea surface microlayer (SML), although poorly understood, is important in biogeochemical cycling and sea - air exchanges; it is a source or a sink for a range of pollutants.

Chiral (Stereoselective) Drugs, Asymmetric Synthesis, and Racemic Resolution Methods
Chirality is crucial in drug development since both biological targets in the organism and the majority of pharmaceutical compounds are chiral. The synthesis and resolution of chiral compounds are critical steps while developing chiral drugs. Asymmetric synthesis and racemic resolution are the two most common methods for obtaining enantiopure drugs ...

Parenchymal toxicities of halogenated hydrocarbons

In HepG2 cells, Aroclor 1254 induced oxidative stress, DNA damage, apoptosis, and mutagenicity; co‐treatment with curcumin restored antioxidant defenses (GSH/thiols; SOD, CAT, GPx, GR, TrxR), reduced ROS and comet/8‐OHdG readouts, and attenuated caspase activation, demonstrating curcumin's hepatoprotective and genoprotective modulation of PCB toxicity.
