Inhibition in Hydrocarbon and Hydrocarbon-Aqueous Media
CORROSION 1989, 1989Abstract Different proposed approaches to evaluating the mechanisms of corrosion inhibition of organic inhibitors of diphilic structure that contain both the polar and non-polar fragments are considered, special attention being paid to inhibition in media containing an aqueous electrolyte and a hydrocarbon phase. Critical analysis of the

Journal of Canadian Petroleum Technology, 1970
Abstract This paper evaluates the convergence pressure concept for the correlation of K-factors in hydrocarbon systems. It is shown that, even in the case of binary and ternary systems containing non-hydrocarbon components, the concept breaks down and leads to unacceptable errors in the predicted K-factors.

Raman characteristics of hydrocarbon and hydrocarbon inclusions
Science in China Series D: Earth Sciences, 2007The Raman spectrograms of hydrocarbon standard samples show that: (1) the Raman spectrogram of normal paraffin has very strong peaks of methyl and methylene (from 2700 cm−1 to 2970 cm−1); (2) branch methyl has the particular peak of 748 cm−1±; (3) six cyclic has the particular peak of 804 cm−1±; (4) phenyl has two particular peaks of 988 cm−1± and 3058

Polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons
Environmental Science & Technology, 1981Polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) can enter the environment in several ways, primarily through the incomplete combustion of carbonaceous materials or through processes that convert coal into synthetic fuels. Other sources of PAHs include the manufacture of carbon black, creosote, soot, vehicular emissions (especially diesel), residual oil, and ...
