Hydrodynamic Limit of Quantum Random Walks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We present a proof of the hydrodynamic limit of independent quantum random walks evolving on Z.

A molecular theory of large-solute diffusion

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics, 2007
The limit of a large solute in the molecular theory of diffusion developed by Yamaguchi et al. [Yamaguchi T. et al., J. Chem. Phys., 2005, 123, 034504] is studied.

Inhomogeneous quenches in the transverse field Ising chain: scaling and front dynamics

open access: yesSciPost Physics, 2017
We investigate the non-equilibrium dynamics of the transverse field quantum Ising chain evolving from an inhomogeneous initial state given by joining two macroscopically different semi-infinite chains.

Thermal Boundaries in Kinetic and Hydrodynamic Limits [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
We investigate how a thermal boundary, modelled by a Langevin dynamics, affect the macroscopic evolution of the energy at different space-time scales.

Gradient resummation for nonlinear chiral transport: an insight from holography

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
Nonlinear transport phenomena induced by chiral anomaly are explored within a 4D field theory defined holographically as $$U(1)_V\times U(1)_A$$ U(1)V×U(1)A Maxwell–Chern–Simons theory in Schwarzschild-$$AdS_5$$ AdS5 .

Hydrodynamic limit of boundary driven exclusion processes with nonreversible boundary dynamics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Using duality techniques, we derive the hydrodynamic limit for one-dimensional, boundary-driven, symmetric exclusion processes with different types of non-reversible dynamics at the boundary, for which the classical entropy method ...

Experimental Evaluation of 100Cr6 Steel Microindented Surfaces Under Lubricated Nonconformal Point Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

Hydrodynamic charge and heat transport on inhomogeneous curved spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We develop the theory of hydrodynamic charge and heat transport in strongly interacting quasi-relativistic systems on manifolds with inhomogeneous spatial curvature.

Generalized hydrodynamics and the classical hydrodynamic limit

open access: yes, 2018
This work is concerned with our recently developed formalism of non-equilibrium thermodynamics. This formalism extends the classical irreversible thermodynamics which leads to classical thermodynamics and can not describe physical phenomena with long relaxations. With the extended theory, we obtain a generalized hydrodynamic system which can be used to
