Hydrodynamic limit of a disordered lattice gas [PDF]

We consider a model of lattice gas dynamics in the d-dimensional cubic lattice in the presence of disorder. If the particle interaction is only mutual exclusion and if the disorder field is given by i.i.d. bounded random variables, we prove the almost sure existence of the hydrodynamical limit in dimension d>2.

A numerical study of the dispersive limit of the quantum hydrodynamic equations for semiconductors is presented. The solution may develop high frequency oscillations when the scaled Planck constant is small. Numerical evidence is given of the fact that in such cases the solution does not converge to the solution of the formal limit equations.

We study the current algebra of FQHE systems in the hydrodynamical limit of small amplitude, long-wavelength fluctuations. We show that the algebra simplifies considerably in this limit.
