Hydrodynamic transport and violation of the viscosity-to-entropy ratio bound in nodal-line semimetals

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2021
The ratio between the shear viscosity and the entropy η/s is considered a universal measure of the strength of interactions in quantum systems. This quantity was conjectured to have a universal lower bound (1/4π)ℏ/k_{B}, which indicates a very strongly ...

Hydrodynamic Limit for Interacting Neurons [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Physics, 2014
This paper studies the hydrodynamic limit of a stochastic process describing the time evolution of a system with N neurons with mean-field interactions produced both by chemical and by electrical synapses. This system can be informally described as follows.

Thermal Boundaries in Kinetic and Hydrodynamic Limits [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
We investigate how a thermal boundary, modelled by a Langevin dynamics, affect the macroscopic evolution of the energy at different space-time scales.

HYDRODYNAMIC LIMIT OF ORDER-BOOK DYNAMICS [PDF]

open access: yesProbability in the Engineering and Informational Sciences, 2016
In this paper, we establish a fluid limit for a two-sided Markov order book model. The main result states that in a certain asymptotic regime, a pair of measure-valued processes representing the “sell-side shape” and “buy-side shape” of an order book converges to a pair of deterministic measure-valued processes in a certain sense.

Front dynamics in the XY chain after local excitations

open access: yesSciPost Physics, 2020
We study the time evolution of magnetization and entanglement for initial states with local excitations, created upon the ferromagnetic ground state of the XY chain.

Propagating density fluctuations in hydrodynamics and beyond

open access: yesAtti della Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti : Classe di Scienze Fisiche, Matematiche e Naturali, 2020
Density fluctuations in simple liquids are analysed in the context of three different and widely used formalisms, whose equivalence in the hydrodynamic limit is shown.

The classical limit to a bipolar quantum hydrodynamic model of semiconductors in a bounded domain

open access: yes上海师范大学学报. 自然科学版, 2015
We consider a one-dimensional bipolar isentropic quantum hydrodynamical model from semiconductor devices.First,we discuss the classical limit of the stationary solution. Then we discuss the classical limit of the non-stationary initial boundary problem ...

Longitudinal sound and diffusion in holographic massive gravity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We consider a simple class of holographic massive gravity models for which the dual field theories break translational invariance spontaneously. We study, in detail, the longitudinal sector of the quasi-normal modes at zero charge density.

Depth of strong development of karst based on quantitative factors of hydrodynamic conditions

open access: yes地质科技通报, 2022
The hydrodynamic condition of groundwater vertical circulation is the main factor to control the development depth of karst. In order to explore the karst strong development depth under the multistage flow system in the anticline karst area of East ...

Hydrodynamic scaling limit of continuum solid-on-solid model

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2006
A fourth-order nonlinear evolution equation is derived from a microscopic model for surface diffusion, namely, the continuum solid-on-solid model.
