Hydrodynamic performance of algal bioreactors
Photobioreactors are engineered bioreactors employed to cultivate microalgae in a controlled environment (to control external factors and contamination) and achieve a high biomass productivity. There are different types of bioreactors, but the common forms, which are used for algal cultivation, are open ponds, vertical columns photobioreactors (bubble ...

Hydrodynamic Evaluation of Shunt Performance in Hydrocephalus
Developmental Medicine & Child Neurology, 1968SUMMARYA method is described for the measurement of function of ventriculoatrial and ventriculo‐peritoneal shunts in situ. The method is based on the recording of the steady state response of the intraventricular fluid pressure to slow continuous fluid infusion into the ventricular system.

Hydrodynamics and performance in fluidized bed adsorption
Biotechnology and Bioengineering, 1995AbstractThe performance of fluidized bed adsorption is strongly influenced by the hydrodynamics of the fluidization process. Especially axial mixing in the liquid and solid phase may lead to reduced capacity and resolution. In this article axial mixing in the liquid phase of a classified fluidized bed based on porous glass granules is presented.

A Performance Model of the Krak Hydrodynamics Application
2006 International Conference on Parallel Processing (ICPP'06), 2006We present an analytic performance model of a large-scale hydrodynamics code developed at Los Alamos National Laboratory. This modeling work is part of an ongoing effort to develop models and modeling techniques for large-scale codes and systems of interest to Los Alamos and the national laboratory community (Kerbyson et al., 2001). Foilborne hydrodynamic performance of Jetfoil
Journal of Hydronautics, 1980The Boeing Jetfoil Model 929-115 hydrofoil ship was derived from Model 929-100, with increased forward foil area larger load-carrying capacity. Forward and aft foil contours were revised to increase cavitation margin. New hydrodynamic design methods were employed to maximize foil thickness for minimum structural weight.
