Toward Stable Multivalent Metal Batteries: Understanding the Interfacial Chemistry for Magnesium and Calcium Metal Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Interphase chemistry governs the stability of multivalent metal batteries. We summarize state‐of‐the‐art developments in calcium and magnesium metal batteries by focusing on the correlation among electrolytes, interphase layers, and the electrochemical performance of corresponding metal anodes.

Causality and stability in relativistic hydrodynamic theory - a choice to be endured

open access: yesPhysics Letters B
In this work, it has been indicated that the key features requisite for preserving causality and stability of the popularly existing relativistic hydrodynamic theories, can be translated into each other.

Retardation of the onset of yurbulence by minor viscosity contrasts

open access: yes, 2001
Motivated by the large effect of turbulent drag reduction by minute concentrations of polymers we study the effects of minor viscosity contrasts on the stability of hydrodynamic flows. The key player is a localized region where the energy of fluctuations

Ultrasmall Platinum Nanoparticles for Radiation‐Enhanced Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work proposes a nanomedicine‐based strategy to enhance X‐ray radiotherapy for cancer treatment. Ultrasmall Pt‐NPs exhibit catalase‐like activity that may contribute to modulation of the tumor microenvironment and amplify interactions between radiation and biological matter, leading to increased DNA damage.

Prediction of hydrodynamic instability in the curved ducts by means of semi-analytical and ANN approaches

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics, 2020
Curved ducts with non-circular cross-sectional geometry have significant applications in different industries. Hydrodynamic stability in these curved ducts is an interesting issue in field of fluid mechanics.

On two-dimensional finite amplitude electro-convection in a dielectric liquid induced by a strong unipolar injection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The hydrodynamic stability of a dielectric liquid subjected to strong unipolar injection is numerically investigated. We determined the linear criterion Tc (T being the electric Rayleigh number) and finite amplitude one Tf over a wide range of the ...

Multiplex Modular Nanorobotic Systems with Catalytic Activity under Magnetic Navigation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present modular nanorobots composed of a magnetic propulsion module and different extension modules carrying functional activities, assembled via DNA base pairing. The system integrates propulsion, optical tracking, enzymatic catalysis, and cell docking in a programmable manner.

Hydrodynamic Description of Granular Convection

open access: yes, 1995
We present a hydrodynamic model that captures the essence of granular dynamics in a vibrating bed. We carry out the linear stability analysis and uncover the instability mechanism that leads to the appearance of the convective rolls via a supercritical ...

Intrinsic Photoactive Star ZnPc–Poly(glutamate) Nanoplatforms for Multimodal Glioblastoma Therapy and Brain‐Targeted Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An intrinsic photoactive star‐shaped zinc phtalocyanine‐poly(L‐glutamic acid) (ZnPc‐PGA) nanoplatform for multimodal glioblastoma (GBM) therapy and brain‐targeted elivery. A ZnPc‐PGA‐based multifunctional theranostic nanocarrier platform enables image‐guided, multimodal GBM therapy. ZnPc‐PGA nanocarriers support the integration of fluorescence imaging,
