Hydrogen bonding in infinite hydrogen fluoride and hydrogen chloride chains [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2006
Hydrogen bonding in infinite HF and HCl bent (zigzag) chains is studied using the ab initio coupled-cluster singles and doubles (CCSD) correlation method. The correlation contribution to the binding energy is decomposed in terms of nonadditive many-body interactions between the monomers in the chains, the so-called energy increments.

Hydrogen production from water electrolysis: role of catalysts

open access: yesNano Convergence, 2021
As a promising substitute for fossil fuels, hydrogen has emerged as a clean and renewable energy. A key challenge is the efficient production of hydrogen to meet the commercial-scale demand of hydrogen. Water splitting electrolysis is a promising pathway

Hydrogen at the rooftop: Compact CPV-hydrogen system to convert sunlight to hydrogen [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Despite being highest potential energy source, solar intermittency and low power density make it difficult for solar energy to compete with the conventional power plants. Highly efficient concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) system provides best technology to

Hydrogen bond network connectivity in the electric double layer dominates the kinetic pH effect in hydrogen electrocatalysis on Pt

open access: yesNature Catalysis, 2022
The origin of the large kinetic pH effect in hydrogen electrocatalysis, that is, the approximately two orders of magnitude decrease in reaction kinetics when moving from acid to alkaline, remains far from having a consensus.

Performance of Hydrogen Storage Tanks of Type IV in a Fire: Effect of the State of Charge

open access: yesHydrogen, 2021
The use of hydrogen storage tanks at 100% of nominal working pressure (NWP) is expected only after refuelling. Driving between refuellings is characterised by the state of charge SoC

eHydrogenation: Hydrogen‐free Electrochemical Hydrogenation

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, 2023
AbstractHydrogenation reactions are staple transformations commonly used across scientific fields to synthesise pharmaceuticals, natural products, and various functional materials. However, the vast majority of these reactions require the use of a toxic and costly catalyst leading to unpractical, hazardous and often functionally limited conditions ...

Mechano-chemical Synthesis of NaAlH4: Optimization of Reaction Conditions

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
NaAlH4 was mechano-chemically synthesized with high energy ball-milling method. The effect of synthesis conditions such as milling time, H2 pressure, chloride catalysts, and solvents was investigated to enhance the synthesis of NaAlH4. Among the chloride
