An Investigation of the Mode of Hydrogen Addition in Stereoselective Heterogeneous Catalytic Hydrogenations

1995
The exact mode of addition of hydrogen [1] to C=C and C=N double bonds in liquid phase heterogeneous catalytic hydrogenations is still an unresolved issue.

Solid state hydrogen conduction in a novel process for hydrogen addition

Solid State Ionics, 1993
Abstract An electrocatalytic method for the chemical addition of hydrogen to a hydrocarbon compound is proposed. In the method, hydrogen formed by water electrolysis at the counter electrode of an electrochemical cell, is delivered via conduction through a proton-conducting solid electrolyte.

Selective hydrogenation with copper catalysts: III. Hydrogen addition and isomerization

Journal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, 1970
Abstractβ‐Eleostearate was found to be reduced by 1,6 addition of hydrogen. Because of the extensive isomerization of conjugated trienes during hydrogenation, the occurrence of 1,2 and 1,4 addition reactions could not be proven. Conjugated dienes were reduced by both 1,2 and 1,4 addition of hydrogen.
