Roadmap and Direction toward High-Performance MoS2 Hydrogen Evolution Catalysts.
ACS Nano, 2021MoS2 intrinsically show Pt-like hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) performance. Pristine MoS2 displayed low HER activity, which was caused by low quantities of catalytic sites and unsatisfactory conductivity.

The evolution of the hydrogen thyratron
Conference Record of the 2000 Twenty-fourth International Power Modulator Symposium, 2000The evolution of the hydrogen thyratron from its early beginnings to the present day is presented from the perspective of one manufacturer. Radar requirements drove the development of the hydrogen thyratron as a repetitive, high power line-type modulator switch.

Photoelectrochemical hydrogen evolution
2021Hydrogen is one of the most important solar fuels derived from artificial photosynthesis, and solar hydrogen production is a promising way to provide H2 sustainably and environmentally. This chapter describes the photocatalytic hydrogen evolution, which is a typical heterogeneous catalytic process.

The Hydrogen Evolution Kinetics and Hydrogen Entry into a-Iron
Journal of The Electrochemical Society, 1965An investigation of the permeation rate of electrolytic hydrogen through Armco iron single crystals and polycrystals by an electrochemical technique is described. The variation of the permeation rate with cathodic overpotential has been determined in alkaline , alkaline cyanide, acidic , acidic iodide, acidic napthalene, and acidic nitrile ...

Light-dependent hydrogen evolution by Scenedesmus
Planta, 1969The effect of glucose and the uncoupler Cl-CCP upon hydrogen production was studied in adapted cells of Scenedesmus obliquus D3. Cl-CCP at 10(-5)M concentration completely inhibited the evolution of H2 in the dark and increased the apparent rate of H2 evolution in the light.

2009
The article begins with a brief presentation of the strategic importance of the hydrogen evolution reaction in various fields; this is followed by a discussion of its reversibility and of the factors on which reversibility depends. Adsorption of hydrogen atoms is a necessary step that depends on the interaction of metal surfaces with solvents.
