Rapid γ/neutron discrimination through PSD is achieved in liquid droplet containing nanostructured polymeric scintillator where a TTA‐active dye is dissolved. The inclusion of a properly selected and dosed sensitizer metalated porphyrin enhances discrimination sensitivity and speed by doubling the density of annihilating triplets and increasing the ...

This work develops 3D‐printable tribopolymer networks that can enhance triboelectric performance under high humidity environments. Polar hydrophilic functional groups and incorporation of zwitterionic monomers promote bound‐water–dominated interfacial polarization thereby increasing electrical outputs.

The Origin and Shaping of Planetary Nebulae: Putting the Binary Hypothesis to the Test
Planetary nebulae (PNe) are circumstellar gas ejected during an intense mass-losing phase in the the lives of asymptotic giant branch stars. PNe have a stunning variety of shapes, most of which are not spherically symmetric.

A novel thermos‐responsive hydroxypropyl cellulose/graphene oxide (HPC/GO) composite membrane is fabricated for reversible temperature‐gated ion transport in aqueous zinc‐ion batteries. Enabled by LCST‐driven structural transition, unimpeded ion diffusion at room temperature delivers high capacity, while elevated temperature suppresses transport; full ...

Improvements in energy efficiency and the potential use of hydrogen fuel cells in railway transport
This article presents the value of further increase of the energy efficiency in railway transport in combination with transition to the non-standard sources of energy. This is done within the paradigm of sustainable development and decarbonization in the

Polymer Interface Enables Reversible Quasi‐Solid Sulfur Conversion in Sodium‐Sulfur Batteries
The polymer interface enables a stable quasi‐solid sulfur conversion pathway in room‐temperature Na─S batteries. The coating regulates Na+ transport, stabilizes the cathode–electrolyte interphase, and accommodates mechanical stress, suppressing electrolyte decomposition and sulfur migration, thereby improving reaction uniformity, reducing polarization,

Martian atmospheric hydrogen and deuterium: Seasonal changes and paradigm for escape to space
Mars’ water history is fundamental to understanding Earth-like planet evolution. Water escapes to space as atoms, and hydrogen atoms escape faster than deuterium giving an increase in the residual D/H ratio. The present ratio reflects the total water Mars has lost.
