Covalent Organic Frameworks for Photocatalysis
This review provides an overview of recent advances in covalent organic frameworks (COFs) for photocatalysis, focusing on sustainable energy applications like water splitting, hydrogen peroxide generation, and CO2 and N2 reduction. It discusses design principles, structure‐function relationships, challenges in COF photocatalysis, and strategies to ...

Raman-assisted crystallography reveals end-on peroxide intermediates in a nonheme iron enzyme [PDF]
Iron-peroxide intermediates are central in the reaction cycle of many iron-containing biomolecules. We trapped iron(III)-(hydro)peroxo species in crystals of superoxide reductase (SOR), a nonheme mononuclear iron enzyme that scavenges superoxide radicals.

Base editing using nanoneedles efficiently corrects pathogenic variants in the type VII collagen gene of primary fibroblasts from patients with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa. Nanoneedle editing induces minimal and reversible transcriptional perturbations while restoring the production and secretion of functional type VII collagen.

Mechanical and Light Activation of Materials for Chemical Production
The actuation of stomata—referring to their opening and closing—is crucial for photosynthesis because it regulates gas exchange and water balance. Here, it is investigated if this life‐like property could enhance the photocatalytic properties of soft materials.

Atomic Gold and Palladium Anion-Catalysis of Water to Peroxide: Fundamental Mechanism [PDF]
We have performed dispersion-corrected density-functional transition state calculations on atomic Au- and Pd- catalysis of water conversion to peroxide. The Au- ion is found to be an excellent catalyst; however, atomic Pd- has a higher catalytic effect on the formation of peroxide.
