Electrochemical sensors for hydrogen and hydrogen sulfide determination

Abstract New electrochemical sensors developed for the quantitative analysis of near-ppm levels of hydrogen and hydrogen sulfide are reported. They combine existing electrochemistry and new regeneratable electrode materials incorporated in a simple design.

A chemiluminescence sensor for the determination of hydrogen peroxide

A chemiluminescence one-shot sensor for hydrogen peroxide is described. It is prepared by immobilization of cobalt chloride and sodium lauryl sulphate in hydroxyethyl cellulose matrix cast on a microscope cover glass. Luminol, sodium phosphate and the sample are mixed before use and applied on the membrane by a micropipette.

Performance of a hydrogen sensor in Pb–16Li

Abstract To develop a sensor for measurements of hydrogen (and its isotopes) concentration in liquid Pb–16Li, two permeating capsules made with niobium and pure iron have been tested. The experimental results demonstrated that the Nb-sensor is not suitable for the foreseen application.

Stabilization of MISFET hydrogen sensors

Abstract Pd-gate MIS hydrogen sensors have serious drift problems and decreased sensitivity after long term operation. We have shown that the serious drift can be eliminated with Pd/Pt hydrogen sensing gate and Ag/Cu/Pd/Pt reference gate differential-type sensors. The decrease of sensitivity can be miniized by high temperature annealing in air.

Application of ultrasonic to a hydrogen sensor

A fast responce hydrogen sensor using ultrasonic was developed and demonstrated. It uses the difference in sound velocity between hydrogen and the air. Thus, it is possible to measure hydrogen concentration by measuring the sound velocity changing when hydrogen is mixed in the air.
