Evaluation of blends of natural rubber and hydrogenated nitrile rubber containing chemically modified natural rubber

Plastics, Rubber and Composites, 2008
Blends of natural rubber (NR) and hydrogenated nitrile rubber (HNBR) have been evaluated with emphasis on dichlorocarbene modified natural rubber (DCNR), a chemically modified form of natural rubber as an interface modifier. The blend characterisation studies by IR spectroscopy, DSC and SEM techniques revealed the interaction of DCNR with the blend ...

Degradation of hydrogenated nitrile rubber

Polymer Degradation and Stability, 1991
Abstract Studies of low temperature degradation were carried out on hydrogenated (HNBR), highly saturated (HSN) nitrile rubber and nitrile rubber (NBR) in the temperature range 75°C to 150°C in the presence of air and high-temperature degradation in the presence of nitrogen from room temperature to 800°C.

Hydrogenation of liquid carboxylated nitrile rubber

Die Makromolekulare Chemie, 1992
AbstractHydrogenation of liquid carboxylated nitrile rubber (L‐XNBR) was carried out using homogeneous palladium and rhodium catalysts. It was observed that the six‐membered cyclic palladate complex of 2‐benzoylpyridine, 1, reduces the carbon‐carbon double bonds without affecting the nitrile and carboxyl functionality.

A study on the characteristics of a rubber blend of fluorocarbon rubber and hydrogenated nitrile rubber

Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry, 2013
Abstract In this study, the physical and chemical characteristics of a rubber blend of fluorocarbon rubber (FKM) and hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene rubber (HNBR) were investigated based on the blend ratio for the purpose improving thermal resistance of HNBR and the low-temperature resistance of FKM.

Hydrogenation of nitrile-butadiene rubber latex with diimide

Applied Catalysis A: General, 2004
Hydrogenation of nitrile-butadiene rubber latex via utilization of diimide was investigated by examining hydrogenation efficiency and hydrogenation degree. It has been found that the hydrogenation efficiency, which is defined as the ratio of the amount of hydrogen peroxide consumed for the hydrogenation to the total amount of hydrogen peroxide reacted,
