Hydrogenolysis of Cyclopropanes

1976
The cyclopropane ring is generally rather stable to hydrogenolysis and hydrogenolytic fission of cyclopropanes by heterogeneous catalysis is commonly found to be quite slow. Cyclopropanes are equally stable towards homogeneously catalysed hydrogenolysis, and in the studies so far reported cyclopropane hydrogenolysis by homogeneous catalysis is observed
