Simulation Aided Design and Testing of Hydromechanical Transmissions

open access: yes, 2014
This paper demonstrates the use of high-speed simulation in transmission conceptual design and presents a transmission test bed for hardware-in-the-loop simulations of hydromechanical transmission concepts.

Hydromechanical modelling of multi-porosity clays

open access: yes, 2011
The paper addresses the issue of modelling the hydromechanical behaviour of swelling clays that exhibit evidence of multi-porosity. A double structure constitutive model developed for such materials is presented fi rst followed by a double porosity ...

Fluid flow and coupled hydromechanical processes in fractured rocks with application to geoenergy and geoengineering

open access: yes, 2023
This paper presents an overview of our recent studies on modelling fluid flow and coupled hydromechanical processes in fractured geological media. The mathematical formulation of a fully-coupled hydromechanical model is given with the model capability ...

A Numerical Model for the Hydromechanics of Lagoons

open access: yesCoastal Engineering 1972, 1972
A numerical model is presented to describe the hydromechanics of lagoons connected to the ocean by relatively narrow inlets. Because special attention is given to the flushing, all second order terms in the hydrodynamic equations are retained. The study is restricted to lagoons with a onedimensional flow pattern and water of uniform density.

Multiscale modelling of the hydromechanical behaviour of argillaceous rocks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Feasibility studies for deep geological radioactive waste disposal facilities have led to an increased interest in the geomechanical modelling of its host rock. In France, a potential host rock is the Callovo-Oxfordian claystone.

Optimization of components and layouts of hydromechanical transmissions

open access: yes, 2017
In the agricultural and work machine sectors, hydromechanical transmission competes with traditional mechanical transmission. However, the double energy conversion taking place in hydrostatic transmission lowers the efficiency of the entire transmission.
