Magnetic Textiles: A Review of Materials, Fabrication, Properties, and Applications
Magnetic textiles (M‐textiles) are emerging as a programmable materials platform that merges magnetic matter with hierarchical textile structures. This article consolidates magnetic material classes, textile architectures, and fabrication and magnetization strategies, revealing structure–property–function relationships that govern magneto‐mechanical ...

Hydrothermal pretreatment of coal. [Heat and hydrothermal treatment at 350 degrees C] [PDF]
We recently examined Argonne supplied Wyodak coal under both thermal (no added water, under N{sub 2}) and hydrothermal (liquid water present, under N{sub 2}) conditions at 350{degrees}C for periods of 30 min. and 5 hr. We found that the coal produces a tar that is deposited on the reactor insert walls solely at hydrothermal conditions.

A wet ball‐milling method is presented to synthesize iron magnetic nanoparticles and evaluate their magnetic hyperthermia performance. Optimized particles (∼270 nm, Ms ∼114 emu/g) achieve ∼50°C heating under clinically safe alternating magnetic fields, while pulsed‐field operation enables controlled temperature regulation (∼30°C).

The Cu‐Zn3In2S6 photocatalyst (Cu‐ZISV) with asymmetric Cu‐SV‐Zn sites was designed and synthesized to boost peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation kinetics. The side‐on photo‐Fenton‐like reaction by the asymmetric Cu‐SV‐Zn site accelerated PMS activation and pollutant degradation, and the first‐order kinetic constant of Cu‐ZISV increased by 4.87 times ...
