Advances in Synchrotron Radiation‐Based Vacuum‐Ultraviolet Circular Dichroism for Biomolecular Structural Analysis

open access: yesChemistry – An Asian Journal, Volume 21, Issue 2, 28 January 2026.
Vacuum‐ultraviolet circular dichroism spectroscopy using synchrotron radiation is operated at the Research Institute for Synchrotron Radiation Science (HiSOR), Hiroshima University. By combining the circular dichroism technique with bioinformatics, molecular dynamics, and linear dichroism, the spectral analysis methods have been advanced, enabling ...

Cost‐Efficient Autotrophic High‐Cell‐Density Cultivation of Cupriavidus necator Enabled by Model‐Based Gas Supply

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, Volume 123, Issue 1, Page 92-103, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Cultivating hydrogen‐oxidizing bacteria (HOB), such as Cupriavidus necator, using H 2, CO 2, and O 2 offers a promising route for CO 2 valorization into chemicals and materials. To enhance cultivation efficiency in a lab‐scale gas fermenter lacking a gas recycling system, an automated gas supply strategy based on real‐time CO 2 and O 2 ...

Mechanistic Insights and Therapeutic Potential of Small Nucleolar RNA Host Genes in the Carcinogenesis of Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the major factors endangering human health due to its poor prognosis, resulting from difficulties in early diagnosis and lack of effective treatment measures. Long non‐coding RNAs (lncRNAs), which are RNA molecules that do not translate into proteins, play essential roles in various tumor ...

Antiphospholipid Syndrome Coexisting With Evans Syndrome and SCL‐70 Antibody Positivity: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT This case of antiphospholipid syndrome, Evans syndrome, and anti‐Scl‐70 positivity (suggesting early SSc) showed marked symptom improvement with rituximab, but poor prognosis persists. Highlights the need for early diagnosis of overlapping autoimmunity, SSc complication monitoring, and optimized immunotherapy in complex cases.
