Kinetics, Thermodynamics, and Mechanistic Understanding of Adsorptive Removal of Congo Red Using Oxidized Carbon Nanoplatelets

open access: yesCLEAN – Soil, Air, Water, Volume 54, Issue 5, May 2026.
Thermodynamic analysis is used to investigate the adsorption of anionic Congo red dye from aqueous solution using non‐composited oxidised carbon nanoplatelets (OCNPs). OCNPs maintain high decontamination efficiency (>96% CR removal) under acidic and basic conditions.

Improving Moist‐Electric Generator Stability and Performance by Enhancing Interfacial Activity With Crosslinked Aminated Carbon Dots

open access: yesCarbon Neutralization, Volume 5, Issue 3, May 2026.
A high‐performance moisture‐enabled electricity generation (MEG) device with amino‐functionalized carbon dots on flexible fabric via thermal crosslinking is presented. The thermal crosslinking strategy enhances adhesion, removes inert groups, and suppresses carbon dots migration, boosting voltage (0.90 V vs. 0.56 V) and stability over 120 h.

Exploring the Biomedical and Environmental Application of Silver Oxide Nanoparticles Derived From Citrus sinensis Peel: A Valorization Approach

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
The graphical abstract illustrates that the AgO‐NPs were synthesized by utilizing the citrus peel extract derived from Citrus nobilis and Citrus deliciosa. The bioactive compounds in the peel extract are effective natural reducing and stabilizing agents during the nanoparticle's synthesis process.
