ABSTRACT Understanding insect responses to global climate change involves identifying strategies used during past climate oscillations. Phylogeography offers a powerful framework to unravel how historical climatic and geological events have shaped the spatial genetic patterns of species, providing critical insights into evolutionary processes, whereas ...

Abstract figure legend During 10 h exposures to normobaric hypoxia exposure there was a selective leftward shift in ventilatory response to hyperoxic hypercapnic rebreathing, but not the cerebrovascular response. The key findings are that the resetting of the central chemoreflex to lower PCO2${P_{{\mathrm{C}}{{\mathrm{O}}_2}}}$ during early hypoxic ...

Abstract figure legend Suboptimal maternal nutrition alters placental and developing blood–brain barrier (BBB) protective function and is associated with increased fetal brain vulnerability. In the placenta, nutritional adversity may reduce the exchange surface area and promote meta‐inflammation, compromising barrier efficiency in a model‐ and context ...

A Survey for Deep Reinforcement Learning Based Network Intrusion Detection
This paper surveys deep reinforcement learning (DRL) for network intrusion detection, evaluating model efficiency, minority attack detection, and dataset imbalance. Findings show DRL achieves state‐of‐the‐art results on public datasets, sometimes surpassing traditional deep learning.

A new spatial hyper-redundant manipulator
Robotics and Computer-Integrated Manufacturing, 2009This work presents a novel hyper-redundant manipulator. Such a manipulator is built with a variable number of tandem-assembled modules. Each module consists of a 3-dof parallel manipulator with asymmetric extremities in which moving platform possesses mixed motions with respect to the base platform.

Hyper-redundant manipulator dynamics: a continuum approximation
Advanced Robotics, 1994Hyper-redundant, or 'snake-like', manipulators have a very large number of actuatable degrees of freedom. This paper develops an efficient formulation of approximate hyper-redundant manipulator dynamics. The most efficient methods for representing manipulator dynamics in the literature require serial computations proportional to the number of degrees ...

Manipulability Analysis for Cable-Driven Hyper-Redundant Manipulators
2021 IEEE 17th International Conference on Automation Science and Engineering (CASE), 2021Cable-driven hyper-redundant manipulators (CDHMs) have been widely applied in aerospace, surgery, or other fields to complete tasks in narrow and multi-obstacles environments. Maneuverability is an important metric for CDHMs and is more difficult to analyze than traditional industrial robots because of their more complicated kinematics.

Hyper redundant modular manipulator arm
2000 26th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society. IECON 2000. 2000 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Electronics, Control and Instrumentation. 21st Century Technologies and Industrial Opportunities (Cat. No.00CH37141), 2002We introduce the hyper-redundant modular manipulator arm (HRMA) ground test system, which is the ground experimental model for the technology of orbital maintenance system (OMS). OMS consists of three steps: 1) inspecting the satellite, 2) re-orbiting the useless satellite, and 3) simply repairing satellites in space.
