Dark Energy and Dark Matter [PDF]
It is a puzzle why the densities of dark matter and dark energy are nearly equal today when they scale so differently during the expansion of the universe. This conundrum may be solved if there is a coupling between the two dark sectors. In this paper we

Topological Point Defects in SmC* Liquid Crystals Under Mechanical Disturbance
Tangetial air jet shear inducess island formation and nucleates topological point defects in uniform SmC films. Island bounded by edge dislocation loops shrink and transform into isolated point defects under continued shear. Mechanical perturbatio provides a controllable route for defect engineering in smectric liquid crystal thin films.

"With 1 follower I must be AWESOME :P". Exploring the role of irony markers in irony recognition
Conversations in social media often contain the use of irony or sarcasm, when the users say the opposite of what they really mean. Irony markers are the meta-communicative clues that inform the reader that an utterance is ironic.

Relating pseudospin and spin symmetries through charge conjugation and chiral transformations: the case of the relativistic harmonic oscillator [PDF]
We solve the generalized relativistic harmonic oscillator in 1+1 dimensions, i.e., including a linear pseudoscalar potential and quadratic scalar and vector potentials which have equal or opposite signs.

Integrated Au nanosheet sensor array enables simultaneous inference of gas concentration and flow rate via deep neural network analysis, without external flow control. ABSTRACT Gas sensor responses are considerably affected by gas flow rates, thereby inhibiting the accurate detection of target gas concentrations in variable‐flow applications such as ...

Hyperbolic subalgebras of hyperbolic Kac–Moody algebras [PDF]
We investigate regular hyperbolic subalgebras of hyperbolic Kac-Moody algebras via their Weyl groups. We classify all subgroups relations between Weyl groups of hyperbolic Kac-Moody algebras, and show that for every pair of a group and subgroup their exists at least one corresponding pair of algebra and subalgebra.

RETREG1‐Mediated Reticulophagy is Essential for Dendritic Cell Maturation and Function in Sepsis
Reticulophagy regulator 1 (RETREG1) maintains dendritic cell (DC) maturation and function in early sepsis. Mechanistically, activating transcription factor 6 (ATF6) acts as a direct transcription factor regulating RETREG1 expression in response to sepsis‐induced endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress.
